Obituary
Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt, has peacefully passed away with friends and family by her side. She left us on July 6, 2006, to be with her husband, George. Helen was born May 7, 1914 to Timothy and Mary O’Rourke into a large and loving family. She was reared up on Beacon Hill with five brothers and one sister, graduated from Cleveland High school. She lived in Rainier Valley area for many years and brought happiness to the neighborhood. She retired from the Boeing Company after 28 years of service, and went on to enjoy her cabin on Whidbey Island for many years with family and friends. She loved gardening, playing cards, reading, sports and her weekly visit from her great grandchildren RJ and Travis.
Services have been scheduled for 12:30 P.M. Saturday, July 15, 2006, at Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 16445 International Blvd., SeaTac, WA, 98188. Burial to follow at Washington Memorial Park.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and 4 siblings. She is survived by her children Tim Corner and Shirley Gorney, grandchildren; JT Danetta Gorney, Teresa Randy Haag, Marie Jeff, Tim Corner, all of Renton, and seven great-grandchildren, two brothers, Timothy O’Rourke and Bill O’Rourke both of Kent, also numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
We, the family, would like to say a special thank you to GG’s caregivers who gave her much love and comfort, Janice, Michelle, Evonne, Fulann and Louise.
