Helen Mary Forman nee Konoski, 83, courageously and peacefully passed away with her family by her side on March 19, 2011 in Seattle, WA. She was born into a large extended family on June 18, 1927 in Kenora, Ontario, Canada, the daughter of Ukrainian refugees fleeing the Bolshevik Revolution. In 1961 Helen immigrated to Washington State with her husband and children. She worked as an executive secretary for Long-Bell and then Boeing for many years.

Helen was a beautiful woman who will be always be remembered for her selfless compassionate nature, enduring love for home and family, traditional Ukrainian cooking and unsurpassed baking. At sunrise on the last day of winter she was born through death into the spring of new beginnings. Our mother and grandmother was dearly loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.

Helen is survived by her 4 children, daughters Marcia Felt and Sandra Locklear, sons Leslie Forman and Larry Forman, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, brother William Konoski and family of Kenora and countless relatives across Canada. The family would like to thank the staffs of Providence Mt. St. Vincent and Swedish Hospital for their dedicated care. Dear Larry and Sandra, Les and Marcie,

Just wanted to send our deepest condolences over the loss of your sweet mother. I have fond neighbor memories of your family moving into Seahurst and all those old days gone by. Your mother was a very kind, hospitable Lady with a lot of Class and Spunk! I remember her quick wit and great sense of humor. She will be greatly missed.

Most of those born Northward, have a unique heritage and signature lineage from the old country. Those precious moms from Canada, my mother Cecelia, included! You are all in our thoughts and prayers and I hope to see you on Friday if time permits. We appreciate your loss and if there is anything we can do?
