Hank/ Dad,
Even though I am not blood-related you treated me like a son. I will miss you dearly. I know that you are now in a better place. Your pocket knife is always with me. Love and will miss you lots.

You will be dearly missed Uncle Hank. Your legacy lives on in your family. Love, Allison
Dear Grandpa,
I honor you. I love you. I will forever remember your protective care and attention of me when I moved here. From helping me get my old car to the shop and paid for, to changing my flat tire in your driveway, being there for me when my Dad and Father passed away, and for being at my wedding….you were always a rock for me and many others who love you. Your advice was always sound and right there when I needed it. Seahawks games will be even sweeter with you and Grandma Rosie watching over all of us. I salute to you for the amazing man you are, the way you loved and protected EVERYONE, your sense of humor, your quiet yet powerful presence, your hugs, and most of all for teaching us all to not take ourselves too seriously. I will do my best to honor you and your memory. We will carry your legacy forward. Rest now, for your journey is now complete, and your place has been prepared on the other side. Until we meet again, don’t let Grandma put too much on your Heavenly “Honey-do List”!
With all my love and gratitude,
Johnathon Lee Purvis-Futch (Johnson)
They broke the mold when they made you. I know of no other man that would take on what you did. I have great memories and learned life lessons from you. You were always there to lend a helping hand. I will always remember you and Mom dancing, together again. ❤️
Uncle Hank (to me and Steve) was a foundation of the family. He was my mother’s best friend, and since her death in 1975, Hank connected us to her. Hank’s calm demeanor did not diminish his wisdom and thoughtful influence with whom he cared for. My brother Steve viewed him as a mentor and role model, and loved him very much. Steve would have been honored to know that he would be sharing his final resting place with Uncle Hank and Aunt Rose. God Bless them all.
