Obituary
On September 19th 2007 a good man passed away. "King", as friends called him, was indeed a man of integrity. He was born near Carlisle, Indiana in 1915. He served with duty and honor for 24 years in the U.S. Army, including combat in the South Pacific in World War 11 and with the First Cavalry Division in Korea 1950-52 and retired as a Lt. Col. King and Marion Dawson of Seattle were married for 35 years, until her death in 1987. Their sons survive – Kim Vester of Santa Cruz, CA and Barry Keri Vester of Kent, WA. as do grandchildren, Josh and Carly of Kent. Ann Slawson Vester, King’s presnt wife of 17 years, was by his side when he died. Her daughters, Nancy, Catherine and son, Steve also grieve his passing. A Memorial service will be at 1:00 PM, Saturday, September 29th at Wayside UCC Church 2000 SW Dash Point Rd. Federal Way, WA.
