(Sum of a kind)

I have fought a good fight. I have finished my course. I have kept the faith. — 2 Timothy 4:7 Herman Matthews beloved father, father-in-law, grandfather, great-grand-father and uncle went home to eternal rest on Wednesday August 8, 2012 at 3:21 p.m. Resident of Seattle Washington and a native of Erwinville, LA. Visitation on Friday August 17, 2012 at St.  Mary’s Catholic Church from  9:00-10:30 a.m. at 611 20th Avenue South, Seattle, WA. 98144. Mass and Religious Services at 11:00 a.m. conducted by Father Anthony Haycock. Burial to follow in Washington Memorial at 16445 International Blvd. SeaTac WA. 98188. He is survived by his daughter Alveria, sonin-law Rogers, grand-daughter, India, great- grandchildren, Brent-Jordan, Dimond Breonne’, and Romello Alexson DeCuir all of Erwinville, La. second grand-daughter, Tammy Bajoie- Desormes and Family, Two devoted nieces, Betty Leon and Shirley Matthews of Seattle, WA. A host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Jackson-Matthews, his parents, Hattie Cline Matthews and Malcolm Matthews, Jr., two sisters, Gertrude M. Henderson and Mary Matthews, four brothers, Rev. David, Malcolm III, Gus and Guy Matthews. The family would like to give special thanks to Doctors Legacy Hospice and all care-givers that has contributed during this journey.

I would like to express my heart felt condolences for the passing of Peggy Matthews. His friendly words and kindness will always be appreciated. He was definately “sum of a kind”.
