Hiroko’s Life History
Hiroko Gomie was born in Manazura, Japan on January 21, 1931. She was born to a commercial fisherman and his wife. Early in her childhood she was placed in the family Buddhist Temple in Kyoto to train to eventually take it over. She went to work in the local Hospital where she met her husband to be Charles Brusseau. He was an Army Intelligence Officer that was placed there while recuperating from Meningitis back then the process to marry an American was long and tedious. They were married in 1951 and went on to have 6 children, 4 of which still survive. Her life as an Army wife took her to many parts of the world in the 21 years Japan, Germany, Colorado, and many more parts of the USA.
She was a wonderful seamstress for many years and the n went on to work at SeaTac Airport Security and then with Northwest Airlines for 19 years.
She had a wonderful passion for traveling and her family was her life.
She is survived by her husband Charles, and her children, Grace, Allen, Phyllis, and Eric, her 9 grandchildren and 12 great grand children.
My deepest condolences to the loved ones. I know how it feels, I loss my Mom this month of September who was 91 yrs old. Prayers help you heal. Take care.
Hiroko was a friend to everyone. She was one of the most elegant and caring persons I have ever known. She warmly accepted me into her family when Grace and I were married 32 years ago, and treated me like her son instead of a son in law. I always said if God would have let me pick my mother, I would have chosen her. She will be terribly missed, but I know in my heart that God has another angel in heaven. Rest in peace Mom, and someday we will meet again. I love and miss you very much.
You are all in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. I have lots of fond memories of your mom and I know she will be sorely missed.
Larry,Grace and family, my deepest sympathy in the passing of your MOM. Her spirit and zest will be a memory for my life… May God Bless You,your family and your friends. Mark Jacobson
Dear Family, I worked at the airport with your mom for many years. She was a wonderful and kind person to all she met. I miss her and share your sadness.
