Howard was born in Fergus Falls Minnesota, Son of Henry and Hulda Gordon.  He  and his 3 siblings, Shirley, Robert and Carol were raised in Bellingham, Washington.  After graduating from Bellingham High school Howard joined the Army as a Medic in WWII serving in the South Pacific earning the rank of  Sergeant 1st Class.  Howard met the Love of his Life, Nellie (through the scheming of their sisters).  They  married on June 6, 1953 in Seattle, Washington.  Howard drove the city bus while going to Carpentry school.   Later the family  moved  to Denver, Colorado to start a Road Safety Equipment business with 2 of his best friends.  After 5 years Howard moved the family back to Seattle to pursue his Love of Carpentry.  He always Loved life to the fullest.  His Love for his carpentry was shared throughout his Church, Relatives and friends.  Most of us can look around and see something Howard built or was involved in.  Howard was a man with few words , but always left a special feeling in your heart.  He  built a beautiful home for his family and was a role model for All of us.  He  was quite the dancer and enjoyed this with Nellie, not only on special occasions, but would randomly grab Nellie while watching  The Lawrence Welk Show, and dance around the family room.  Howard enjoyed being involved with John in Scouts and stood proudly by him when he received  his Eagle badge.  It was the very simple things that made Him  happy, Cathlyns freshly baked cookies and goodies (Howard’s Norwegian Sweet tooth), A Sunday family dinner or Their Sunday Drives.

We will miss You Dearly, Our goodbyes are not forever, and not the End.  This  simply means we’ll miss you until we meet once  again.
