“Too Kind Mikey”
Howard Michael Hawley “Mike” was born April 15, 1949 in Seattle, WA. He is survived by a loving family including his wife, the love of his life for 27 years, Cherie affectionally known as “Sweetie”; also his sons Kelly Crow (Schwanda), Jess Hawley and daughter Kristi Holloway (Leslie). He is also survived by his sister Shalee Taylor, Provo, Utah and brothers Norman and Roger and sister Dee Dee, all in the Seattle area.
Mike graduated from Foster High School in Tukwila and then attended Highline Community College. He started his own used car business, “Jesse James” in Tukwila. Mike later worked at various jobs and lastly before he retired he worked at Davis Door Company in Seattle. He loved his co-workers and made several lasting friendships. He always enjoyed the Company picnics and riding the Wave Runner and attended several great campouts with his co-workers. He was in the United States Army Reserves and loved the opportunity of visiting other countries. His many loves were motorcycle riding, camping, collecting, cutting firewood, going to the Casinos and he belonged to the A.L.P.C.A., a license plate collector club.
He loved the Men and Woman of Praisealujah so very much and was so proud of their accomplishments. He loved to help people and was nicknamed “to Kind Mikey”. Mike made a lot of lasting friendships and was very proud of his children. Mike also was a member of New Beginnings Church in White Center.
He passed away December 12, 2023 battling cancer.

Mike was such an encourager, with a sparkle in his eye. He was a gift from God to so many people. Love you and praying for you, Cherie and family.

Mike was an amazing friend and neighbor to my Dad and He will surely be missed by all that was blessed by his kindness.
