Ian Robert Holding

On May 31, 2012, we lost a great man and baseball coach.  During a 15U youth baseball game, Coach Holding, just 34 years young, suffered a massive heart attack and passed way.   Coach Ian was an amazing son, husband, dad and good friend to many.  He had a burning passion for kids and will be missed dearly by all.

Ian was born on June 11, 1977 in Bridgeton New Jersey.  He is survived by wife Lindsay, sons Jacob and Chance, father Bob Holding and Leslie, mother Kim Glaspey Holding, sisters Tiffany and Tara and brothers Theo and Jeremy, grandmothers, Doris Glaspey and Marion Holding, uncle Jimmy and wife Suzanne, cousins Derek and Shanna.  He was preceded in death by grandfather Jim Glaspey.  He had many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews who loved him very much.

He will be laid to rest on Wednesday, June 6 at Washington Memorial Park in Seattle Washington.  There will be a Celebration of Ian’s Life on Wednesday, June 6 at 5:00 PM at the Normandy Park Community Center.  Additional information can be obtained by visiting www.bonneywatson.com.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Ian Holding Memorial Fund at any Key Bank.

I will always remember Ian as a happy kid with a bigs smile . He had his fathers gift of charisma and BS . If you meet him you could not help but to like him . His quick witt, laugh and smile where infectious . He was a good father ,husband and son . he loved his family and friends and they loved him back. My heart goes out to Lindsay,Jacob,Chance, Bunky and the Holding and Glaspey family in your time of loss . You wil be in my thoughts.
