Obituary
Ida Elizabeth Crowell was born December 17, 1913 to Joshua and Grace Oswalt and went home to be with her Lord and Savior on December 11, 2004, from Seattle Washington. Ida was born six miles east of Sunnyside Washington and raised in Mabton Washington. Ida and Dan Crowell married in 1932 and spent most of their lives in the Yakima valley. Ida was a homemaker and raised four surviving children Lorraine Corbin, of SeaTac WA, Don Crowell, of Chelan WA , Wesley Crowell of Spokane WA and Trudy Layton, of SeaTac WA.
The significant event in Ida’s life was in 1933 she received Christ as her Savior.
Dan and Ida helped to pioneer Brownstown Assembly of God church. Ida was always very involved in church activities, Bible studies, but she became famous for her prayer life. Ida had a relationship with her Lord that was to be envied. She loved to read the Bible and read it through numerous times.
As a house wife and mother Ida spent thirty six years raising four children. After her and Dan retired they enjoyed fishing and camping.
Husband Dan preceded Ida, December 16th 1995.
Ida is survived by a sister Bessie Sisson Larson four children and spouses, Lorraine and Lealan Corbin, Donald & Joan Crowell, Wesley & Carolyn Crowell, Trudy & Fred Layton. 17 Grandchildren, 19 Great grandchildren, and 11 Great Great grandchildren.
Ida will be laid to rest at Washington Memorial Park. Bonney – Watson funeral home will direct the grave side service, Thursday December 16th. Viewing room 9:00 am to 11:45 am. Grave side service at noon, and a memorial service at 1:00 pm at Westwood Christian Assembly in White Center WA. Pastor Colby will officiate.

We loved watching the Mariners with Grandma, she knew all the players. It was so fun seeing how excited she was about the game. It was always a comfort knowing Grandma was praying for us.
My thoughts are with you all.
I will never forget trying to learn to make Fried Chicken from a Paperbag from Grandma..never tried since just didn’t turn out but the memory is still there…and the memories of Playing scrabble with her..she always beat…
