Igor will be most remembered as a dear friend, loving father, and a talented man. He approached life with a great deal of humor, kindness, and a flair for telling fiction stories about events, people and creatures. Igor was nonjudgmental, compassionate, and generous to all.
Last years of his career life Igor worked at Boeing as a System Architect. He also was a Founding Partner in Thought Engineering and had more than 18 years of experience in software technology and management. Prior to that, he held the title of senior technology architect at Captaris, leading the company in Unified Communications. Igor served as CTO and Vice President at Infolio, – a Silicon Valley start-up. The XML Application Server developed at Infolio was nominated for Computerworld Honors in 2001. In the past, Igor worked as program manager of the Internet services and applications architecture group at Vadem, where he designed application protocols for the Web services division and introduced XML data management architecture for the Internet service. Igor previously held various technology leading and research positions at Silicon Graphics, ParaGraph International, and Moscow Institute of Machines and Machine Tools, and founded Software Consulting Company. He holds master’s degrees in computer science and electronic engineering from Moscow Institute of Electronic Machinery in Russia.
We will always be proud of his accomplishments. He will be missed greatly.
I had the wonderful opportunity to get to know Igor through work at Boeing. Any meeting with Igor was always fun for me because of his personality, topped off by his Russian accent. I could always depend on getting expert insite into any problem we were working, as well as a good group laugh over how Igor’s Russian accent influenced our interpretation of what he had just said.
I’m thankful I had this time with Igor, but it was much too short.
Igor was a close friend and a great partner. He taught me many things and I will miss him dearly.
