ILENE ROSE KIRSCHNICK
February 4, 1952 – March 16, 2025
ILENE ROSE KIRSCHNICK was born February 4,1952 in Seattle Washington, and after years of battling cancer, died surrounded by her family on March 16, 2025 at St. Annes Hospital in Burien Washington – (The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the medical staff of the 5th and 6th floors of the hospital for the compassionate, gentle and loving care they provided to her). Ilene was a life-long resident of White Center and a graduate of Evergreen High School Class of 1970.
While never having children of her own, she was a loving aunt to her nieces and nephews, Jade Wiltsey, Justin Ross, Jeffery Rhubottom, Elizabeth and Miguel Kirschnick and Erik Kirschnick. She babysat at all hours of the day and night and the children were loved by her as if they were her own.
Her other love was for Old English Sheepdogs; she had three through the years. She belonged to the Old English Sheepdog Club and served as Treasurer to assist in the bookkeeping, she also actively participated in Seattle’s Tall Club for 40+ years. She retired from the Federal Government having worked for various agencies as a Program Assistant (AFIS, HUD, IRS, NOAA, VA & US Dept of Treasury).
Ilene was predeceased by her parents, Herman (III) and Rose Marie, her sister, Marcie, and her nephews, Justin Mathew Ross and is survived by her sister Julie, brothers Ernie (late wife Juanita), Herman (IV) and his wife Setheni.
At her request, there will be no service, however donations to her favorite charities in her name are welcomed.

I loved Ilene. A sweet soul who had a sweet voice and a lovely sense of humor. I really enjoyed making her laugh and we shared so many phone calls about the latest goings on.
She was a good mom to the dogs she had from me and did the best she could with her physical limitations. But she really came through for the club as treasurer as a job nobody else could handle. I miss her but know she is in a loving place now.
