“Those we love don’t go away,
They walk beside us every day.
Unseen, unheard, but always near.
Still loved, still missed, still very dear.”
To my sister Imelda,
You have the most infectious smile that will be missed by everyone. You left us too soon. I am just glad to have had some time with you before you departed this world. The higher power must have wanted you to be with your family when they decided to take you from us. I love you so much. Say hello to Dad, Rose, and Ate Buena.
Thinking of your family during your time of sadness. May you wrap each other in love and support to help ease your pain.
Ate’ Mel, you were quite an amazing person. Always happy and even when anything bothered you, you were over it in a split second. As the youngest in the family, you always took care of me. Even when you didn’t have much, you gave and gave and gave to everyone. You definitely had the most forgiving and caring soul. I wish I could have spent more time with you, but I know Dad, Rose and At’e Buena will have that with you. I love you so very much.
Imelda it was such a pleasure to work with you. I will miss your smiles and very positive outlook on life. Please watch over us.

Ate Imelda was such a pleasure to work with. When I first started working at the kidney center, she was one of the very first patients to make me feel welcome. I will miss her bright personality and amazing smile. She was truly one of a kind.
Aunty Mel, there are no words to express how much I miss you. I am so thankful for everything you have done for the boys and I throughout the years. I’m going to miss Aunty Mel every day. I loved that she was always smiling. I remember when she used to live across the street from Grandma’s house and I thought it was so cool knowing that half my family lived on the same block. I’ll always think of you and Grandma when I’m eating delicious Filipino food because you both cooked the best food around. I love you Aunty Mel.
