Irene M. Williams, age 92, of Kent, WA, passed away on September 6, 2015, after suffering a stroke.
Born September 2, 1923 in Marysville, WA, she was the daughter of Mabel Riley and Carl Erickson.
Irene is survived by her sister Marilyn Anderson, four daughters, Rose (Jack) Krumm, Sandy (Bob) Reed, Cheryl (Gary) Brownell, Cherri (Terry) Jennings, step-sons Ted (Janine) Williams, Rick Williams, step-daughter Ravae Laine, daughter in-law Rosemarie Ross, 10 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and her dear friend Bob Smith.
Irene married Marvin L. Williams in August 1966. They were happily married for 35 years, until his death in June 2001.
Irene was a 45 year member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha (ESA) and belonged to the Beta Omicron Chapter. She was named Woman Of The Year on more than one occasion.
Irene loved being with friends, gardening, traveling, music and she especially loved being with her family.
She worked for the State of Washington and retired from the Dept. of Corrections in 1987.
Irene was predeceased by her husband, Marvin Williams in June 2001 and her son, Jerry Ross, April 2015.
