Obituary
He was born in Seattle, WA, March 5th, 1930. He had 7 sisters and 3 brothers – Alma, Sarah, Molly, Edith, Helen, Virginia, Ethel, Bud, Jim and Danny. He is survived by his wife Gaylene Glaefke, and his children, son Larry and wife Debbie, son Craig and wife Patti, and daughter Lori Graham. He had 6 grandchildren, Amy, Ashley, Brittney, Katrina, Jessica and Dillon. He had 3 great-grandchildren, Elicio, Miguel and newborn Sophia.
He served in the Airforce during the Korean War, and later started working for Littman’s Bakery greasing pans. He then went on with his career in the Sales Industry working for several bakeries, including Grandma’s Cookies, Mother’s
Cookies and finally retiring from Sunshine Bakery/Blue Bell Snacks. He was an incredible salesman and loved his job very much.
Jack loved spending lots of time with his grandkids, traveling, golfing, fishing and hunting deer. He was a huge UW fan and enjoyed going to Husky games. He always had the best sense of humor, and could make anyone laugh, his two favorite sayings were, “I love you so much, I can hardly stand it”, and “I’m glad you got to see me”! He was a smart, witty, loving and caring man, he was very thoughtful, and helpful. He enjoyed his retirement with his wife Gaylene as ‘snowbirds’ – in Arizona during the winter, and in Burien, WA during the summer.
He passed away August 13, 2015, peacefully at home with his family after a long battle with cancer, he fought until the end.
He is in God’s Arms now, and in our hearts forever, he will be truly missed.

I love you Dad, i will think about you everyday and never forget how much you taught me, i really looked up to you and admired your fun loving and humorous spirit. Rest in Peace, and i’ll see you again when the time is right.

We will remember Jack with a smile on his face and a
bag of cookies in his hand. Our children, Carla and David
spent some time with Gaylene and Jack while I was between
“sitters”. Jack always had a bag of cookies for them to
take home. The children enjoyed being with Gaylene and
Jack.
Save a space for us in Heaven.
It was a pleasure knowing Jack, our neighbor in Venture Out. Sorry to hear of his passing. We will miss him. Our hearts go out to Gaylene and his fsmily.
My dad worked with Jack at Grandmas cookies. My brothers and I met him when were just little kids. I remember him warmly; he always had a big smile on his face and was kind and playful with all of us “kids”.
My late (I just heard of of his passing today 2-13-20) condolences to his wife Gayle, his children and the entire family.
