Jacob Andrew STURGEON

Was born in Evansville, IN Aug 18, 1924 and died at home Nov.10. He worked in hospitals around his area. and planned to join the service in WW2. Flat feet kept him from that desire so he went to defense plants and became a machinist.

In 1960 he left IN for Seattle and Boeing and later Heath in Kent. He opened his TV and Stereo shop in 1963 and in 1971 bought a huge old hardware store across the street as Jake’s Miscellany, and specialized in antiques, guitars, and vintage strings.

He retired in 95 and went fishing and also traveled. He leaves behind a loving wife, Helen, of 40 years, step daughter Karen Don Willis, grandchildren, Lisa, of Marysville and Chris Lilia and her daughter Stephanie of Glendora, CA; one nephew, Jim Hall Rachel resides in AL and many other nieces, nephews, and in-laws are in this area.

Memorial for family and friends will be at 546 Alder in Edmonds at 1PM Nov 29.
