Obituary
James Morman
James Moorman was born July 30th, 1962 in Bellevue, Washington, and was a graduate of Sammamish High School and attended Western Washington University.
James greatest passion was riding motorcycles. He belonged to the Thunder Angels Motorcycle Club and went on several rides that benefited the community such as the Toy Run and the Patriot Run. James was also an advocate for the homeless and volunteered on a regular basis for Operation Night Watch in Seattle, WA.
James had a wonderful sense of humor and lived each day to the fullest. James worked in IT and felt he was always working for something bigger than the job.
James recently moved to Denver, Co and his life was cut short due to a motorcycle accident on June 8th, 2016. He died doing what he loved, which was riding his motorcycle. Because he was an organ donor of record, several people received the ultimate gift from James, and his family and friends are very proud of him.
James is preceded in death by his Mother, Joan Moorman, and survived by his Father Dan and step mother Sandra Moorman, brother Robert, and sisters Chris Conrad and Kathy Troxel.
In lieu of flowers to please make a donation to St. Anthony Hospital (11600 W 2nd Pl, Lakewood, CO 80228) or Operation Nightwatch (302 14th Ave S, Seattle, WA 98144).
The family will be having a Celebration of Life for James.
I was honored to have been Jim’s oldest sister, and to have been with him as he drew his last breath. He was a vibrant, loving and giving personality. To the last he was thinking of others. He was an organ donor and several families were given the gift of life because of his last act. He will live in our lives and we will miss him and his sense of humor.
I can only imagine the fun he is having in Heaven right now.
James always seemed to be smiling, even at work where I first met him, years ago in Kirkland. I just liked talking with him, sometimes when we just needed a little break. He loved his pottery classes, and he gave every person in the department (about 30!) a bowl for Christmas last year. We’ll all have a little something to smile about when we think of James. I really miss him, but I know he’s riding his Harley, with a big grin on his face.
Dear Dan and Sandy,
Jane and I send our deepest and heart-felt sympathy.
In Christ,
Jane and Paul
Though I only had the pleasure of knowing James a short time, I will always remember his generosity, his sense of humor and his love for motorcycles. I would like to extend my deepest condolences to his family and friends. May he forever be in the wind.
My heart cries for your loss. May the life that is in front of us be full of love, happiness, joy and peace as I’m sure your brother and son would want it.
I cry for my little brother. I will miss you. I am at peace knowing you didn’t suffer. I know I will see you again. Until then, I feel your presence and invite you into my dreams.
I have not looked for James in years. But tonight, as I was siting listening to an old country song, we danced too, many many years ago I thought of him. I could see us dancing. I smiled. I got my phone to searched for him. For the first time in 16 years, until I found him. (On Kathy’s Facebook page)
I am so very sorry for the loss of you brother. I do not know your hurt, sorrow or pain. I hope I am not just running my mouth to much. Now I have to confess. I do not know what I believe. But now I know. I have one Angel watching over me.
