Obituary
James R Rubalcava (“Jim”) a lifelong Seattle resident, died on February 5, 2020. He was 61.
Jim graduated from JFK High School in Burien in 1976, where he ran cross-country.
Jim enjoyed golf, watching movies, and playing pool at home with his uncles Joe and Ray. He was a Seahawks and Mariners fan, and attended games with his brother.
Jim worked for King County for 20+ years as an electrician helper. Workers at the courthouse and other County buildings may have seen Jim changing lamps.
He was a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 46 for 30+ years, following in the footsteps of both his father and his uncle Ray.
Jim is predeceased by his parents, Albert and June Rubalcava. He is survived by his brother John of Renton, WA; uncles Ray Rubalcava (Barbara) of Marysville, WA, Joe Rubalcava (Vayle) of Nephi, UT, and Eric Schulz (Dodie) of Culver City, CA; aunts Josephine Rubalcava of Salt Lake City, UT and Lorna Viscano of San Dimas, CA; and many cousins.
Jim will be lovingly remembered as a kind, patient, gentle soul with a cheerful smile.

Sorry to hear. I remember Jim when he and John stopped by at our mother’s home in Florida and helped me take care of some things that needed to be done there. Jim was a nice peaceful guy, I have good memories of my visit with him.
