Janet Dorothy Weisser, age 74 died peacefully with her family by her side in Renton at Valley Medical Center. She was born and raised in Tacoma, graduated from Stadium High School of Tacoma in 1955. Janet is survived by her husband of 49 years, Larry; daughter, Barbara; son Robert and her mom, Dorothy Klein. At her request, no services will be held. Family prefers memorial contributions be made to Wolf Education Research Center, Lewiston, Idaho, the American Cancer Society or NW Trek Wildlife Park of Eatonville, WA designate Cats or Canids.
I’ve known Jan since Barb and I first met as 7th graders at Chinook. Over the years, Jan always took a vested interest in what my family and I were up to…relishing in the good things and sharing our sadness with the bad things.
Barb was my maid of honor at my wedding 23 years ago and I always felt Jan was just as much a part of that day as Barb.
Though we never saw each other as often as we would have liked over these past several years, she still took the time to send greetings when special days arrived, like christmas and anniversaries.
Jan always had a warm smile, a kind and generous heart which she has definitely passed along to her wonderful daughter Barb. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. I am grateful to have known her.
Much love and comfort to the family she has left behind and be assured that one day, you’ll be all together again.
Dear Larry,Barbara,Bob,& Grandma Klein,
Just wanted to add my sympathy to you all. I’ll sure miss my cousin Janet..felt like she was another sister to me over all the years. I remember many years ago, when she worked for Northwest Airlines in reservations I think and when she brought tiny little baby Barbara to Ritzville. I stayed at your house many times as I attended various workshops in Seattle or waited for my hubby to fly in/out of SeaTac. Janet was always the gracious host, and sometimes babysitter for our girls. I’ll forever remember the precious memories of great family times.
Janet may be gone, but never forgotten…forever in our hearts! Looking forward to the day we’ll all be together again.
Loves and Hugs from Cousin Jeanne
Jan was one of my first friends when we moved to Seattle in 1961. we were honored to stand up for them at her and larry’s wedding. Tho we were separated in miles for most of our years we remained true friends. Jan was great sending us greeting cards for all occassions
and it warmed my heart at her devotion to our friendship. I’m greatful she was in my life. Her struggles are over. May she glory in the greatest adventure of all.
Blessings to Larry, Bob and Barb.
Marilyn
Barb, I was so sorry to hear of your loss. I pray all the wonderful memories you have of your mom will sustain you in your time of grief.
My Mom and I are so sorry for your loss! God bless Janet and our sympathy to Larry, Barbara and Robert.
We are so very sorry. Jan was a good friend and she will be missed. Our prayer for your family is “that the Lord will comfort you with His peace, surround you with His arms, and encourage you with His presence.”
Jan, you will be missed but will always remain in my memories. You welcomed me into your home with open arms. You & Larry raised an amazing daughter who will always be a dear friend to me & she will carry on your loving ways in this world. You have gone before us & someday we will join you. Aloha from Texas.
We are sorry to hear of your loss.
We didn’t get together like I wanted but you have been in our thoughts. God bless Janet and our sympathy to you, Larry and your children. I sent the OB to Bob and Judy Patterson. Our love to you. Ed and Margi Coombs

Thank goodness I saw all but B.J. not too long ago. Just remember her for the yrs. you did have together. Now you can think of her as your Specl. Angel to watch over you.

Mom I miss you so much, love you more than I was ever able to express or tell you. You’re in my thoughts daily. Your cat misses you very much too and she has been letting me pet her. She sleeps on your fleece jacket. Dad is holding up pretty good and is being strong, even though I know he is hurting and missing you too.
I know eventually in the end we’ll all be together again. Love you lots, your loving daughter, Barbara
Sorry for your loss. She was a wonderful person. Love Isabelle
