Janet Rae Peterson, age 78, passed away on November 10th, 2018 in Federal Way, Washington.
Janet Rae Nunnallee was born on August 10th, 1940 in Spokane, Washington. She was the second oldest in a family six, mother and father Janette and Edmond, older brother Edmond, younger brother David and younger sister Mary Ann.
The family moved from Spokane to Des Moines, Washington when Janet was very young. She attended elementary and middle school in Des Moines, and graduated from Highline High School in Burien.
Janet had a passion for helping people, working at the Des Moines Medical clinic as a receptionist for 25 years.
Janet remarried in 1984, when she married Darrel Peterson. They lived in Algona, Washington; Canby, Minnesota; and Federal Way, Washington. Janet enjoyed baking, gardening, square dancing and painting.
Janet is survived by her second husband Darrel and three sons, Steve, Robert and Tom and three grandsons. And, three step children Joan, Janice and Jim, three grandchildren and three great granddaughters.
Services will be held Sunday, December 2 at 1:00 PM at Bonney Watson in Federal Way, Washington.
