Obituary
Janet Sue Hineman was born Janet Sue Ogren January 7, 1939. The second daughter of Paul and Pauline Ogren, she grew up on Queen Anne hill in Seattle. She attended Catharine Blaine Elementary and graduated from Queen Anne High school in 1957. She was an active member in Student Council Committee, Girls Club Committee, and part of the Attendance Force. Her senior year quote was “Friend to All”.
After graduating high school, Janet moved to Port Angeles and worked in the clerical department of a bank. She soon moved back to Seattle near where the 1962 World’s Fair was being built. It was about this time, that she started working as a secretary for The Boeing Company.
In the spring of 1963, Janet met Robert that also worked at Boeing and they started dating. They both knew right away they were meant for each other and could not wait any longer to be husband and wife. Janet Ogren became Janet Hineman in June. Soon afterwards, they moved to Huntsville, AL where they started a family having two children, a daughter Paula Sue and a son Christopher Lee.
In 1971, the family moved back to Seattle where Janet was a stay at home mom for a few years. Bob and she would do many things together, bowling, day trips, and enjoy their kids. She eventually went back to work at Boeing as a secretary. She would stay in that capacity until the death of her husband of 25 years in 1989. It was at that time, she decided to leave office life behind and go work in the Boeing Store. She loved that, getting to talk and help people with their purchases. In 1995, Boeing was offering early retirement and she jumped at the opportunity. After a few years of being home, she went back to work at Bonney Watson Washington Memorial. By the early 2000’s, she finally became a true retiree. She is survived by her daughter Paula (Paul) Pellegrino, her son Chris (Tami) Hineman, five grandchildren (Madison & Bobby Pellegrino, and Chelsea, Cassidy, & Courtney Hineman), her Sisters Donna Gray, and Paulette (Gerry) Bowen, many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Janet will be missed but not forgotten by all who knew her. Till we see you again.
Much love and prayers to Paula, Chris, and their families. I love you all and pray for God’s comfort and peace. Your mom was a wonderful person and she will be dearly missed. I’m so grateful some of us cousins were able to see her last May!
So sorry to hear of Janet passing. She was such a super nice person.
To the Hineman Family,

GOD BLESS all of you!!! Gloria
Janet will very much be missed. My prayers go out to her family. We had some fun times in the early years when our kids were young, camping on the rivers in Wash.
A certain blessing she didn’t suffer and she is now back with her honey Bob. Prayers to all.
