Jasoda Kelleppan, 77 years of age
Formerly Jasoda lived in Suva, Fiji Islands
At her request, a short and simple service will be held.
Ms Jasoda Kelleppan was born December 25, 1934, in Suva, Fiji Islands to Shankar and Narayani Kelleppan.
Jasoda was a caring, and dedicated mother of 6. She was married at a very early age but was left to care for her 6 children independently. Struggling to take care of all her children in Fiji, she eventually moved to the US. Her brother, Ram whom she is survived by, sponsored her and her 5 younger children.
While caring for things at home, her children went to school and worked in Seattle . She always had their meals ready when they got home. She was a great cook and graciously and lovingly watched after many of her grand kids over the years.
Jasoda spent the last 29 years in Washington, living in Seattle and then Federal Way with her youngest son, Praveen. She passed away peacefully at home on June 6, @ 6:30pm. She is survived by her 6 children; Anjani, Anjila, Rajni, Sanderi, Rakesh and Praveen as well as fifteen grandchildren and 3 great-grand children.
Her smile and laughter always filled a room. She touched the hearts of family, relatives and many people surrounding her. Jasoda will forever live happily in our memories.
I remember aunty as a very quite, sweet, caring women. Whenever I came over to Praveens house, she would always give me a hug, and ask me how my family was doing. She always requested I stay over for dinner, for she loved to cook. My only regret is that I wish I got to see her more the last few years….She will be greatly missed.
I had known Mrs Kellepan and called her aunty for almost 20 yrs through her kids whom I am a very close friends with.
She was a very sweet, kind, gentle, loving and caring person and she had a good sense of humor.
I respected and liked her as my own mum.
She will be missed dearly.
