Obituary

January 29, Jean Elizabeth Geyer passed away peacefully, following a brief illness and surrounded by love.

Jean was born in Canton, Ohio on January  1, 1919, only daughter  to Glover and May Cottrell. She had two brothers, John and Robert. Graduated from Ohio State University, she volunteered in the Red Cross, and served in India during WWII. She met and married George, a  handsome Navy Flyboy, in 1944. She was a terrific bridge player, a proud charter member of the “worlds oldest Bridge club” which started in 1955 and is still playing. She returned to college in the ’70’s and later served as head teacher and director of Valley Birth to Five, a developmental pre-school in Federal Way.

Preceded in death by her husband George in 1991. Survived by her 5  loving children, George Jr. ( Stephanie), Brenda, Gretchen, John (Stacy) and Robert (Suzanne).
She has 12 beloved grandchildren, and 4 (and a half) precious great-grandchildren

She has been a faithful member of Southminster Presbyterian Church since 1957.

She will be missed and remembered forever.
