Obituary
Jean Talerico, 90, passed away January 3rd, 2013 in Seattle surrounded by her family. She was born in Roslyn, Washington to George and Jane Meek on October 15th, 1922. Her early life was spent in Roslyn and she graduated from Cle Elum High School in 1940. Jean married Joe Talerico June 20, 1941 and was happily married for 49 years until his passing in January, 1991. Jean’s interests were widespread. From camping and RV’ing to fishing and clam digging. She was known as “Punkin” to her four grandchildren, and later was Punkin to all who knew her. She was a wonderful cook, and truly enjoyed feeding her family. Jean is survived by her son, Joel Talerico of Ellensburg, his wife, Linda, their two sons, Mark and Rick. Also by her daughter, Jane Talerico Brown, her husband, Jerry, Jane’s children, Shannon O’Brien Pudlo, and Kevin O’Brien. Great-granddaughters Madelline and Anna, and great-grandson Wyatt. She also had many nieces, nephews and cousins, both here and in England, whom she visited many times over the years. These visits piqued her interest in ancestry, and she followed her family tree back many generations. She was loved, and will be missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by and infant daughter, her brother, Harry Meek and her sister Gertrude Meek Wallgren. We have so many good memories of both Auntie Jean and Uncle Joe……They were so good to us and our girls especially when we lived in Seattle….May they both Rest In Peace.
