Obituary
Jeannette Elaine (Hooper) Hart passed away Sept. 30, 2011 at St. Francis Hosp., Fed. Way after a lengthy illness just short of her 80th birthday. Born to Theodore Wm. Hooper and Bella Dick Buchan on October 22nd, 1931 in Virginia Mason Hospital.
A 1949 graduate of Lincoln High School, Seattle, she married Robert Lloyd Hart Sr. May 6, 1950. While raising her 3 sons she worked at Boeing, Old National Bank, Peoples Bank and retired from U.S. Bank on 2001. She was living in Fife at the time of her death where she had lived for 21 years.
Jeannette was a member of the New Horizon Christian Center Church of Fife. She loved her many friends there and volunteered in the office for several years. She cherished her Scottish Heritage and attended many Scottish events, especially The Highland Games, until her health prevented it. She dearly loved her Scottie dogs and all Gods creatures.
Jeannette was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bob of 28 years, her youngest son Alan Douglas in 2006, and grandson Tracy Lee in 2001.
Survived by sons Robert (Judy) Hart of Brinnon, WA, William (Kathie) Hart of Anchorage, AK, sister Marilyn(Larry) Lomax of Des Moines, WA, Daughter-in-law Terry Hart, Tacoma, brother-in-law Carl(Gladys) Hart, Lancaster, CA, 11 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grand-daughter.
Services will be held at Bonney-Watson Funeral Home, Sea-Tac on Wednesday, October 5th at 12:00pm with interment next to her husband, Bob, immediately following.
Her son Robert will dedicate the gravesite.
Remembrances may be made to Seattle Children’s Hospital, Humane Society or her church.
I will greatly miss Jeannette’s smile at church on Sunday’s. She was an amazing lady and will be greatly missed by her family at New Horizon Christian Center.
While my heart is sad that I’ll not see you again this side of heaven – I’m glad I know where you are! I can only imagine the joy you are in – seeing Jesus.
