Obituary

Jeffrey Lynn Mulcahy was born July 7, 1949 in Seattle Washington to John and Laura Mulcahy. After a long and courageous battle with Cancer, he passed away on July 3, 2015 surrounded by family.

Jeff attended Evergreen High School and went on to serve two tours in Vietnam before returning home where he excelled as an electrician, the last decade for the Seattle School District. He loved the area and lived his entire life in and around Normandy Park and Burien, where in his spare time he built, restored, and raced classic cars.

He never missed his kids soccer matches, baseball games, and swim meets, and later, track, wrestling, and football at Mount Rainier HS. Camping and travel were a focus of every summer and some of his favorite times, be it taking the family camper and dirt bikes out around the Northwest, or trips to Las Vegas, Hawaii, and Caribbean cruises.

He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Eileen Mulcahy and sons, Ryan Mulcahy and Shawn Mulcahy, his two grandsons Colin and Sullivan Mulcahy, sibling Mike Mulcahy and several Brother and Sister in Laws, and Nieces and Nephews. Jeff was 65.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Lung Association. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Seahurst at 11:00 am.

I worked with Jeff, many years ago; Floodlight, inc. later as Sylvania Lighting Services.
As tough as Jeff was, he was no match for tactical herbicides in Vietnam. So long, Bro. Jim McDonald, 10/2022.
