Jeni, I was sad to learned that you had passed away. My friend Melanie Devine who informed me just a day before you were gone. I knew something was not good news. I also learned from my friend Karla Bell who informed me that Jeni was married to Walter. But first of all, I know Jeni from SCCC since 1985. Jeni always had a sense of humor and curious to ask me few questions about general issues. Jeni is truly good person and accepted whatever situation come around. Farewell my friend, Jeni. You now are with Jesus in Heaven. I will see you there someday! Jane Cinker of Ocala, Fl. former Washington state resident

Yesterday’s services were a mirror reflection of Jeni–a beautiful tribute to her.

I envision Jeni smiling and laughing as we collectively and privately remember all the sweet and fun times we shared with her. Jeni, we miss you dearly.

My heart goes out to the families. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Until we meet again, Jeni,

Monica

Jeni was a dear friend. I met her at Seattle Central Community College in 1987 through our friends. We had fun night outs, conversations, laughter and teasing. I’ll miss her and always remember the fun times we had together. She will be our angel looking down at us.

Please accept our deepest sympathy and prayers. Jeni’s death is far too premature, but I am fortunate to have know her, if only for a short time. I met her for the first time at the wedding, but I have known her for a much longer time through Walter.

She made Walt so happy and they were happy together.

We were anxious for Walter to bring her to Maine where she could meet the rest of his family. We know that Walt wanted to show Jeni the Maine coast, our lighthouses and learn to eat lobster like a real Mainer.

And as the Irish Blessing concludes:

“May God hold Jeni in the hollow of His hand.”

Hey Jeni, I’m so sorry. I will always remember looking at pictures of you, my mom and Cindy. And you, mom, and Margo. I’ll see you again someday. You were a fighter and you’ll always be in our hearts.

I’ve know Jeni since I was born. Her and my mom grew up together. This still hasn’t sunk in. I’ve never met you Walt, but my parents told me you are a wonderful person and I’m so very sorry for your loss. Jeni was bomb, and we’ll all miss her.

I am so sorry for the loss of dear Jeni. I was very shocked and couldn’t believe her life was cut short. I’m so glad we became a very good long time friends of 40 years. yep, she was 6 and I at 9 at Aldercrest Elem schl. I only lived in Seattle for 4 years before moving back to CA and kept in touch after all those years. I surely missed her laughters, teasings, twinkles in her eyes, rosy cheeks and most of all hearing from her. I would make her laugh everytime I email her silly jokes. I really cherished our special friendship. I’m so glad she found happiness with Walt. With deepest sympathy to Walter, Burton, Doramus and Konecki families. Til we “meet” again in heaven, Jen.

To the Family, May you find comfort in knowing that God is “near to those that are broken at heart; and those who are crushed in spirit he saves.” Psalm 34;18 He has promised to soon “swallow up death forever…and wipe the tears from all faces.” Isaiah 25;8 Take care,

I remember Jeni from SCCC and I worked with her for Seattle Community College Alumni Association for two years as a president while she was my vice president. She was an absolute joy to work with. She was an intelligent lady who often had good conversations with me these times. I shall miss her. May her soul rest in peace.

Jeni was an unique person and she had the world’s cutest giggle. She was not afraid of the world and strived to make a living on her own. She took on tough challenges that many people would decline to try!! I am so happy for her that she accomplished her life-long dream of marriage. I will sing and sing for you, Jeni, until we meet again in our glorious HOME! Wait for me, I’ll be home soon.

Before I moved to Austin, Texas in 2001, I got to know Jeni when I went to Seattle Central Community College in the in late 80’s-early 90’s, later on we rode the bus together when we worked downtown Seattle, and we’re even neighbors when I lived in the Northgate/Shoreline area. I will remember her continous smile and cheerfulness, full of fun and stories, and most of all, sharing our kitty cats story. My deepest sympathy to her husband and rest of the families. She will be greatly miss! My prayers and thoughts are with you all.

My heart just broke when I heard of Jeni’s passing. I met her at her last place of employment and got to know her in our private talks especially whenever I took her anywhere. She alway had such a positive attitude about life in general. I truly enjoyed her smile I used to tell her that she reminded me of a doll. One thing she truly wanted in life was to get married and rejoice in the fact that she accomplished that and was very happy with her spouse. Now she is with our Lord and pain free. She is rejoicing in his promises. That last smile she had is a promise to me that she knew He was waiting for her.

I have worked with Gerry, Jeni’s stepfather, for about 12-13 years now and feel very close to both Gerry & Trish. Although I’ve only met Jeni a few times, I feel like I know her from how much Gerry talks about his family. I know that family is everything to Gerry & Trish, so I can only imagine how devastating this sudden loss has been. My thoughts and prayers go out to all Jeni’s family and friends.
