I am so sorry to hear about Papa’s passing. He was a good man and I loved him dearly. I always enjoyed talking to him and hearing what he had to say. He had a good life and accomplished a lot. I am glad that he was part of my life.

I became acquainted with Jesse at the USPS Airport Mail Center. I was the QWL Facilitator at the time, and Jesse was a quality circle member. He was articulate, intelligent, and a guy with a good sense of humor. Jesse always said what he meant, and meant what he said. I liked that about him! He sure worked late into life and it’s too bad that he didn’t get more time out of his retirement to spend with his family and friends. My condolences to his loved ones. He will be missed by all of us.

I knew Jesse when he worked for me at the Airport Mail Center. He was one of the hardest working mailhandlers I ever had the privilege of knowing. I lost contact with him when I retired in 2000 but had the honor of meeting him again at one of his grand daughter’s wedding a few years ago. He had not changed a bit and I was almost overcome with emotion as I remembered who he was and what he had meant to me as a former postal employee. May he rest in peace. I will always cherish the days when I knew him.

I worked with Jesse at the Terminal

Annex & later at the Airport Mail facility. He could out work mailhandlers half his age.He was an

inspiration to me then & now. I hope to meet up with him again in the afterlife.
