Obituary
John Camerota, Jr., was born on November 10, 1929 in Seattle and passed away comfortably in his own home on January 12, 2019. He grew up in the Rainier Valley and graduated from Franklin High School. He attended Seattle University for a short time before duty called him to work at the Pike Place Market.
John retired from American National Insurance after 43 years of service. He loved horse racing, playing bocce and watching any sport on television especially his Mariners and Seahawks. He stayed busy puttering in his yard where he found great solace. John will be remembered for his sense of humor, love of family, Italian food, and his whistle.
Preceded in death by his wife of nearly 60 years, Charlene Camerota and his youngest daughter Carmen Duppenthaler; parents John Camerota Sr, and Giovina Coiro, sisters Antoinette Genzale and Louise Rice. He is survived by his son, Duane Camerota, daughter Dena (Jeff) Reindel, son-in-Law Jeff Duppenthaler. He will be missed by his grandchildren who called him Papa: Ben Reindel, Lyndsie (James) Neely, Corinne Camerota, Nick Camerota, Carly Duppenthaler, Kyle Duppenthaler, and great-grandson, Kason.

I miss you so much, sitting at my bar waiting for coffee and watching me cook saying “you can really cook just like Mama.” We know you loved each and everyone of us. I am so blessed to have had you in my life and to have been able to be there for you. RIP dear Dad, until we meet again.
