We got to know John when he married Lorraine.John said to me that their was something about me that he liked and we have been friends ever since matter of fact he called me his brother.I spoke to him just about 2 weeks before he died and he just was a real friend always interested in what we were doing and how the rest of our family was doing. He also said that he prayed for us and that we will miss him very much. Our sympathy goes out to his dear wife Lorraine and the rest of the family.
Love and prayers Milt.& Helen
John has been one of my heroes and mentors for many years. He welcomed my family into his neighborhood in 1977. He showed kindness at every turn, always made time when I needed help, and on the rare occcasions where I could reciprocate, he expressed genuine thanks. He taught me the benefits of being a giver, and I think, passed this along to many. He loved his family fiercely and was a proud father and husband. He knew right from wrong, and made peace with God long ago. In the hospital, when Pastor Lee recited Psalm 23, John closed his eyes to enjoy the text, and spoke every word from memory. We will truly miss this neighbor, Christian brother, and friend.
