Obituary
John Lee Peterson was born Dec 20, 1944 in Jamestown, North Dakota. He graduated from Jamestown High and moved to the Northwest when he was 20. He left this earth suddenly on Dec 7th, 2011. As a Teamster Local #174, he retired from The Seattle Times Newspaper in Seattle, WA, where he worked for most of his life in the Transportation Dept. He was a devoted father, grandfather and husband. John was survived by Char, his wife of 35 years, 4 children, Mike, Mark, Michael and Michelle, 4 grandchildren, Sabrina, Jaclyn, Samantha and Blake, 4 brothers, James (Diana) Peterson of Wisconsin, Ken (Mary) Peterson of Colorado, Dick (Nina) Peterson of Florida and Tom (Pamela) Peterson of Illinois and 2 sisters, Louise (Robert) Harris of Seattle and Jan (Augie) Novotny of North Dakota and many nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Violet Peterson of Jamestown and 2 younger sisters, Shari Schlag and Judy Pickard. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, Jan 7th, 2012, at 10:00am at Highlands Community Church, 3031 NE 10th St, Renton, WA 98056.
