“By the Grace of God go I” My dad often used this statement the past few years. He loved being around family.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you as you say good-bye to the man who was a husband, a father, a grandfather, an uncle, a cousin, a nephew, a neighbor, a friend to so many. I know J.R. had a special place in Bunt’s heart and they are up there now sharing their many stories. All our best to you at this time that is sad and difficult, yet happy because it brings all together to honor J. R.

Dear Lil, Chris, Cathy, Kevin and all,
Our prayers and ongoing support are with you all. I didn’t get to know Johnny as my older brothers and sisters did. I did get to know he had a big heart, a beautiful smile, and as myself, a passion for baking – he also had a beautiful family. We will all miss him. Marilee and I invite you to come visit or stay for awhile – we are at 1 Buttonball Trail in Norwalk, Ct – 203-354-2304.
With love from our family: Dick, Marilee, Loren , Jennifer and Tom
My sincere sympathy goes out to you Cathy and your Family. I know how difficult it is to lose someone that you love so much. Remember that his memory will never fade and will forever be imprinted in your heart.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.
Sincerely,
Kathy & Scott Santarella
To all the Mortons-
Our thoughts and prayers are with you as you lay John to rest. We have many fond memories of John, especially during those many treks to Kevin’s ball games. Rick also appreciates how John had helped him care for Irene and we respect all that John overcame in his own life. May you be comforted by the knowledge of how much he loved you all. Love, Rick and Madeleine

To Mrs. Morton and family
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. John is in a better place now. He is not suffering anymore. You have to be strong now and take care of yourself. Even though I never meet you I feel that I do know you through Cathy. She worried so much about her dad and you. I am so glad she got to see her dad before he passed. Take Care and God Bless all of you. All my love & friendship, Fran DiPietro

To the Morton Family:
I have known John since elementary school. I last saw him at our 45th reunion. He was a fine fellow.
God bless all of you.
Jack
I wish we could be with all of you right now. I have so many wonderful memories of holidays all together. Uncle Johnny always had a smile and a chuckle. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Love, Anne, Jim and Paul
May our beloved friend and brother John rest in peace. May each one of you be comforted by that everlasting peace. Love,
Ed
John and I send our deepest sympathies for the loss of Uncle Johnny to dearest Aunt Lil, Cathy, Chrisand Julie, Michael, Kevin and Dana and the grandchildren. May God bless him and all of you during this difficult time.
I will always have fond memories of our Christmas dinners together with Uncle Johnny’s fantastic pies. He later passed his coveted pie plates to my mother and my father passed them on to me when my mom passed away. I make a lot of pies during the year and each time I think about my mom, Uncle Johhny and their love of pie-baking and of the long talks they had at the kitchen table at 77 West Rocks. I will be sending something in the mail to Aunt Lil in lieu of flowers. I love and miss you all!
Love, Kathleen and John, Johnny, Laura and Julia
John,
I went on the computer with the intention of looking you up after all these years , only to find I waited to long. I had the pleasure of working with you for a few years and I learned a great deal about the Trucking industry from you , including the fact it wasn’t what I really wanted . I ‘ll never forget your advice . ” you can stay here and be a very good driver or follow your ambition and be great at what you really want to do , your a young man don’t settle”. I took that advice and made a great career for myself . I’ll never forget you always greeted me with ” hey there Jarhead” . And always asked how I was doing and if needed help with anything . To a 22 year old kid just out of the service that kind of honest advice and friendship can guide you into manhood and teach you a lot about yourself. Thanks John. I wish I could have told you personally . But I’m sure you already know .
