Johnny “John” Lee Whitfield, 75, of Renton, Washington, died on Tuesday, December 31, 2024. He was born on November 5, 1949, to Eleazer James Whitfield and Eloise Whitfield in Jefferson, Alabama.
John attended John Essex High School in Jefferson, Alabama.
John worked as a Chipperman / Machinist, and retired from Bob B Lumber Company.
John was an avid Seattle Seahawks fan and his hobbies were fishing, sports, cooking and spending time with his family and friends.
John is survived by his brothers Samuel Whitfield of Renton, Washington, His sister Barbara Brooks of Seattle, Washington, Floyd ( Mary) of Jacksonville, Florida, and sister Joyce Whitfield Irving ( Nathan) of Linden, Alabama. And a host of nieces, nephews, and a devoted friend Bernard of Seattle, Washington.
John was preceded in death by his late parents Eleazer James and Eloise Whitfield, four sisters Weltha Mae Lee, Annie Whitfield Bishop, and Mary and Martha Whitfield and one brother James Whitfield Jr.
A visitation for John will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Bonney Watson Funeral Home, 1535 SW Dash Point Rd, Federal Way, WA 98023 with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM.
