First of all; I know that I do not need to go into great detail about what kind of man my dad was – anyone who knew him or even had the chance to meet him just once can tell what a positive, kind, strong, funny, happy person he was. He gave his kids the best childhood any kid could ask for. I will miss the fishing he taught me to do, the wonderful bar-b-ques he made and the most of all the special not so quite times =o he spent with me and his grandchildren. Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to include an entry in his questbook – it adds to the memories I have of him and warms my heart to see the special ways he touched so many lives. *Daddy I love you thank you for helping me become the person I am today – Always your daughter Shannon xoxoxo * please stand next to me still if I am lucky enough to get a change to walk down the isle =o

My uncle Joe was an amazing man, who loved life, his wife Connee, and all of his family very passionatly. He lived in the moment and taught many that if you have the chance to make things right do it. He shared many personal stories to help others understand that we should all love life and thoes around us with care, understanding and compasion. He had a vibrant bond with my children his great nieces and nephews that they will carry with them. His memory lives on in all of us and will not be forgoten. I am proud to have had such a loving uncle who was always there for anyone who needed it. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of the family and friends. I love you Uncle Joe thank you for making a positive differance in the lives of so many. May we all take with us a greater understanding of life and to live each day to the fullest. Love a more, laugh harder, enjoy the little things and be there for one another.Tina and family

My deepest thoughts and prayers are with the Macri family at this difficult time of grief and sorrow.

I was shocked and saddend to hear of the news that Joe had suddendly been taken away.I have known him since high school and we also shared the same birthday, except I was born in 57.He was a very good friend and always spoke lovingly of his family. He had the most caring, giving nature and I hope he is at peace now in his new journey. I would like to know how this tragedy happend and if the family could send me a note it would be appreciated deeply. To Shannon,Shane,Sara your father was one in a million and can never be replaced. God Bless!!

I am saddened to learn of Joe’s passing. He was a kind-hearted human being, and left us too soon. I think the “Tukwila kids” will remember him with fondness.

Sorry I missed the funeral, I really wished I could have attended but received E-mail too late to make it. Joe & I shared the same exact birthdate. Which connected us as somewhat spiritual brothers through out the years. Not sure of Joe’s spiritual beliefs but pray that I will see him again in the presence of the Lord. My condolances to the family.

Friends always, Rusty

Joe,

I know that your in a happy place now, i know its hard but everyone here misses you & will always have a place for you in their heart.

Every time i think about it, never getting the chance to say goodbye but still never crying at the fact your no longer here it makes me burn over and over inside i shed tears as i paid my respects when you were once one of the most important aspects in everyones life.

I’m sorry you didnt have a chance to see and watch your granddaughter grow up. It’s already hard enough for Shane to tell her that your at a better place. I know you be watching over her and shane. She will also do the same thing for you. You’ve been a great father to Shane,Shannon & Sara. Your also a great grandpa to all the little ones & Your also a great person to talk too, you make me laugh when everytime i talk to you, i just miss those days. You will always tell shane to get me out of the car when i dont come out. Now that your done its not the same.

Shane, Evelynn & I will miss you alot and love you to death!

I went to school with Joe in elementary & Jr. High. We grew up in Tukwila a few blocks away. I remember Joe as a big guy that always wanted to have fun! I was so glad to see him at our last class reunion along with his bro, Rocco. Joe & I had a good visit at the reunion and he was glad he decided to go after all. To all of Joe’s family I can only say, keep his memories in your hearts and he will always be near you. My thoughts & prayers are with you in your time of sorrow. Nina

Dear Joe

I know you’re on that next adventure we all must take. Like some many others before us you must lead the way.

I will visit you grave site, say my goodbyes, and for a moment I will look at myself through your eyes.

I will see my own mortality and realize that we are only visitors in this world and each and every one of us must take that next step.

To Sara & All:

I send my deepest sympathy for your loss of your dear Dad, husband, papa.

I am hopeful his last years since I saw him, he was happier and at peace. I appreciated his passion and his love of his children and family, even in the most difficult of circumstances. He had a big heart and I appreciated getting to know him. I am sorry for his passing from your lives so suddenly and so young.

With love and my prayers,

Susie

Joe was just a couple years younger than me & grew up less than 2 miles from where I grew up. I don’t know if that’s why I feel like I’ve always known him, or if it is because he had such an open heart. I miss him already. He was my friend. I send my love to you Joe and to your family and all who loved you too. XOXOXOXOXO

My first meeting with Joe was when I had to use his truck to take my drive test when I started at Pape’. Even before I really had a chance to talk with him, he impressed me as a person that not only knew his job and performed it well, but also liked it and the people he worked with. Whenever I would be in Seattle, if he was there he would always take the time to wave and say hi and ask how things were going. Joe, you’ll be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with the Macri family at this time.

I am sorry to say I lost contact with Joe over the years. I knew him through junior and senior High School at Showalter and Foster. Joe was bigger than most of us and could have easily used his size in a negative way, but never did. He always was a nice guy, to put it simply. He always had a smile. Though I haven’t seen that smile in many years I still have it in my mind and will never forget it. My condolences to his family. May you take comfort in the knowledge that Joe had a very positive and unforgettable impact on many, and will not be forgoten.
