Dear Aunt Giselda and Family,

We are so sorry to hear of Uncle Joe’s passing. I know the family will miss him very much. We are so happy that we had a chance to visit with you and Uncle Joe last summer and that our son, Rob, was able to meet you both. May the Lord give you strength and peace in the future days. Our love and prayers. Chuck & Mary-Jo

Aunt Giselda, Michael, Tony, Mario, and family, I am so sorry that Uncle Joe has left us. We were very fortunate to have grown-up together and to be so close. Uncle Joe gave me and so many of us quiet guidance. I know that he is in heaven and that there is a joyous reunion with my father, Aunt Mary and all those in our wonderful family who have gone before. God Bless You, Anthony & Cathy Canorro

Aunt Giselda, Mike, Tony and Mario and Family. I was very saddened to hear of Uncle Joe’s passing. Cynthia loved Joe and Giselda and considered them one of the highlights of the family. I always remember the fun coming over to his house and hear the laughter and love that was always present. I’m glad I had the chance to see him last year when I made it out to Seattle. Im sure he is in Heaven with great company. Our prayers are with you all.

Love Peter, Josh and Ross

Dear Aunt Giselda, Mike, Tony and Mario and families: my Mother Olivia and I and my son John want to express our sorrow at the passing of Uncle Joe. My brother Anthony and I grew up on Beacon Hill with Uncle Joe and Aunt Giselda and our cousins Mike, Tony and Mario as a second family. I can remember telephoning Uncle Joe when I was in the fourth grade at St George’s elementary so he could help me with my long division! It is so sad that now my Mother is the last of the nine Forte children. We will all miss Uncle Joe but we know he is in a better place. Uncle Joe and Aunt Giselda were always so kind to everyone, but particularly to my wonderful wife Kay, making her feel welcome and a part of the family when we first moved here in 1968–Kay always loved visiting Joe and Giselda. God Bless!

Dear Aunt Giselda, Mike, Tony, Mario and families: We were so sorry to hear of Uncle Joe’s passing, and our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this sad time. Uncle Joe was so special to the whole family. When growing up, no trip to Seattle was complete without a visit to see Aunt Giselda and Uncle Joe. I am so grateful for his Forte family history book. It was a real privilege for me to interpret for my Dad when he was asking Uncle Joe all about the family after reading the book. When my Dad was at Gallaudet College, he received a letter from Uncle Joe telling him of the death of his cousin, Mary Magdalene. It was a loving, compassionate letter, one that my Dad kept his entire life. It seems that Uncle Joe has always been the “keeper of the family”. We will miss him so much.

Love, Kathy, Mark, Greg, Kristen and Melissa

DEAR AUNT GISELDA, AUNT OLIVIA AND YOUR FAMILIES:

I AM QUITE SADDENED BY THE PASSING OF UNCLE JOE, BUT HE IS SURELY STILL WITH US IN SPIRIT.

I BELIEVE THAT HE TOOK IT UPON HIMSELF TO CONTINUE THE SAME QUALITIES OF CONCERN AND CARING FOR OTHERS THAT WAS SO

CHARACTERISTIC OF GRANDMA.

MAY YOUR CHILDREN CONTINUE IN

THIS SAME TRADITION.

BE ASSURED THAT GOD WILL GRANT YOU COMFORT AT THIS TIME.

LOVE TO ALL,

DENNIS FORTE
