Obituary
In Loving Memory of Juanita D. Eilertson
Juanita D. Eilertson, born on June 23, 1926, in Dumaguete City, Philippines, peacefully departed this world on November 20, 2023 leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness. Hailed as Miss Zamboanga in her youth, Juanita later became a dedicated Home Economics school teacher in Quezon City, Philippines.
In her 50s, she embarked on a new chapter in the USA, briefly teaching in Los Angeles, CA, where she met her beloved husband, Donald Eilertson. They settled in Seattle until Don’s passing, after which Juanita bravely faced life on her own in Federal Way before relocating to the warmth of Houston, TX.
Juanita’s generosity knew no bounds, as she selflessly supported relatives and friends in the Philippines, offering them a home and educational opportunities for a brighter future. Her benevolent spirit and perpetual smile defined her character. Even in the face of illness, when she could no longer speak or walk, that enduring smile continued to radiate warmth.
Survived by her four children—Monina (Nong), Paul (Jing), Mary Ann, and Jun (Rhina), 8 Grandchildren and 10 Great grandchildren. Juanita’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be dearly missed, and her legacy of compassion and joy will forever be cherished.
If I turn into my mother, or even half a person she was, I’d consider myself a successful one, in a way that she was loved by all as much as she loved everyone.
Thank you. Ma…for EVERYTHING!
I will miss you forever.
Rest in HIS paradise.
Love, your daughter,
Mary Ann

Mommy, you are truly missed everyday. We are thankful to god for your long and lovely life. You have touched more lives than you can imagine with your words of advice and kind demeanor. You had a way of making people smile with your funny sense of humor and I can say I’ve never seen you mad or upset about anything. I know you are rejoicing now up in heaven with our Lord and I can hear him say to you “good job my daughter”. We love you Mommy until we all meet you again in heaven.
Jay, Zedy and your great granddaughter Yana.
Mommy, I cherish the 8 years that you have lived with us in League City, TX. You are a mother-in-law that any daughter-in-law can wish for: kind, generous, cheerful, humorous, never judgmental and a strong woman of God. Yes, there is sadness because you will be missed, but there is that assurance that we will be reunited in the glorious presence of God in His appointed time. We love you dearly.
