Judith Arlene Paulsen

Born October 28, 1940, passed away March 21, 2009. She was born in Portland Oregon to Samuel ‘Delbert’ Carrell and Roberta Edith Wilhelm.

After graduating high school at Gresham High in 1958, she left Portland to attend the Lutheran Bible Institute in Seattle. Her claim to fame was memorizing the book of Mathew. More importantly, she met her loving husband, Gerald Allen Paulsen and married June 9, 1962. They resided in Seattle for 46 years.

Judy was active in the Youth for Christ and loved dressing up for the banquets at the Multnomah Hotel where there were 500 other students attending. She worked over forty years as office manager and bookkeeper for Northwest Neurological Surgery in Seattle. She was a dedicated employee and friend.

She was a good friend and mother to Linda and Julene. They enjoyed doing crafts, making cookies and playing games. The girls always knew they were loved.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry Paulsen of Seattle; Daughters, Linda Paulsen of Seattle, and Julene Paulsen Levin of Mercer Island; Son-in-law, Joe Levin of Mercer Island; Grandchildren, Sarah Levin and Aaron Levin of Mercer Island; and Sister, Frances Carrell Snow, brother-in-law Ken Snow of Portland, Oregon.

Her grandchildren were the light of her life. Judy loved her entire family and all of her friends.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00PM, Thursday, March 26, 2009 at Haller Lake Baptist Church, 14054 Wallingford Ave. N., Seattle, WA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.
