Obituary
Julie Daguio passed away peacefully at home on August 7, 2021. She was born on August 17, 1924 in Bacarra, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. She was educated in the Philippines and graduated from Fairyland Fashion School. After her marriage to Elpidio Daguio on Valentine’s Day 1948, she moved to Kauai. She also lived in Wapato, Yakima, and Seattle. In Yakima, she worked at Del Monte Cannery. After her retirement, she moved to Seattle and took care of her granddaughter Renee.
Julie enjoyed gardening, sewing, reading and traveling. She was a member of St. James Cathedral, Legion of Mary, and Filipino Community of Seattle.
Julie is survived by her daughters, Marilyn Barut and son-in-law Renato Barut, Mayrose Daguio and her significant other Robert Willett, Renee Barut Del-Fierro and her wife Vanessa Barut Del-Fierro, and great grandsons Makai and Oliver, and many nieces, nephews and relatives. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Viewing and rosary will be held Friday, August 27 at 4-7 p.m. at Bonney Watson at 16445 International Blvd. SeaTac, WA. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, August 28 at 9:30 a.m. at St. James Cathedral 804 9th Ave. Seattle, WA.
