June Roland Popich
April 11, 1921 – April 15, 2009
Born in Duluth, MN. To Robert and Petra Roland. Moved to the west coast and then to Yakutat, Alaska. The family later moved back to Seattle. After graduating from Queen Anne High School and Wilson Business College, she went to work for Boeing Personnel. There she met and married John T. Popich, Sr. in 1942.
June was active in First Lutheran Church in West Seattle, and the Dr. Wykoff Orthopedic Guild. She enjoyed golf and was a former member of Rainier Golf and Country Club. They retired to Sequim, WA and joined the Sunland Golf and Country Club.
June is survived by Husband John, children Judy Forbes and husband Dirk, John T. Jr. and wife Donna, and Penny Ruthruff and husband Curt. Grand children Danika Welch and husband Matt, Aaron Forbes and wife Mindee, Joshua John Popich and wife Amy and Emily and Jennifer Ruthruff. Great grandchildren Finley Jane Welch, Audrey Claire Forbes and Isaac John Popich.
Preceding June in death her sister Ruth Harriet Gadd and husband Elliott of Tacoma, WA. And Indio, CA

My mom was the best mom ever. I will always remember growing up making raspberry jam with her, being her helper in the garden with all her beautiful roses and hanging fushia baskets, going on bike rides together, knitting together, crafting and laughing. Love you mom, Penny Sue
