Obituary
Judith (Judy) Ann Nott passed away May 8, 2020 from the corona virus. She had most recently lived at Fieldstone Memory Care in Issaquah, Washington. She was a lung cancer survivor.
Judy was born to Lyle Earl Nott and Wilma Evelyn Hauskins on December 8, 1948 in Seattle, Washington, at Providence Hospital. She spent her childhood in White Center attending White Center Heights Elementary, Mount View Elementary and Cascade Junior High. In 1964, her family moved to Burien and she attended Highline High School graduating in 1967. Judy lived in the family home in Burien from 1964 to 2018.
Judy worked for General Electric, Boeing and United Airlines, from where she retired after 30 years. In her high school years, Judy worked undercover for the Washington State Liquor Control Board. They would send her into stores to buy liquor to see if stores or taverns would sell to a minor. Many of her friends and family will laugh at this story now because Judy always enjoyed to party.
Judy loved her family, her friends and her pets. She loved to laugh, travel (particularly to Las Vegas) gardening, all things chocolate, music, her cars, her home and to have fun.
Judy had a great personality, which consisted of being funny, caring, hardworking, tough, stubborn, protective and fiercely loyal.
Judy is survived by her sister, Janice (Dave) Stewart of Tahuya and her brother, Jeff (Joan) Nott, of Maple Valley. She is also survived by her niece, Kristi Norton; nephew, Jesse Stewart; great nephews, Jackson Stewart and David Norton; also, many cousins plus her dear friend of over 55 years, Diane Melos. Judy was a caretaker for many years of her mother, who passed away in 2016.
The family will celebrate Judy’s life at a later date.
Donations in memory of Judy may be made to the Seattle Humane Society, 13212 S.E. Eastgate Way, Bellevue, WA 98005.
She will be missed. Enjoyed her humor in high school. She was always cracking a joke of some kind.
I will miss my dear friend Judy. We always enjoyed each others company from the first day we met. She aways liked telling that story.
Our deepest sympathies and love.
