I had the pleasure of meeting Kaje through a friend of mine and was always amazed at how upbeat and friendly she was to everyone who crossed her path. Her smile literally lit up the room when she walked in and her spirit touched those that knew and didn’t know her. She will be missed.

Kaje was a good friend of mine in the truest sense. We met at Qwest and quickly became friends. Her open hearted nature quickly endeared her to almost anyone she met. It was hard to resist her smile, her laugh, and her generous nature. For a time, we would call each other almost daily and would share humor, confidences, frustrations, and heartbreaks. We were there for each other through some rough times. I just want her family to know that she was loved, admired, and respected. May God keep her in his tender embrace always!

I was deeply saddened to hear of Kaje’s passing. We worked together many times over the telephone. Kaje was a great person and employee, I will miss talking with her. She made working on trouble tickets with her a joy. Kaje, a great person and employee, we always said “have a good night, …you too”. Be safe on your new journey Kaje.

I worked with Kaje in the Design Services dept at Qwest Communications. She always seemed to have a smile on her face. She always offered me a piece of candy out of her famous candy jar. I will miss seeing her at work–it was a shock to all of us that she is gone. May God bless the Brooks family and give you the knowledge that she is in a better place and will be sorely missed by her many friends both in and out of the “phone company”..

God Bless you all….

Ken..

Dear Kaje,

The last time that I saw Kaje she commented on my cologne… I said it was Bounce fabric softener… and we both laughed. Stay safe on your journeys… Miss you a lot… To KB3 from STT.

She was always a cheerful voice, and a friendly, knowledgable person.

Many the time she helped me solve difficult problems.

May God look upon the Brooks family with compassion and blessings. She lives thru your memories.

To Kaje’s family- Please accept our heartfelt sympathy from the Qwest – Designed Services Center where she was a valued friend and co-worker. Kaje will be missed. One fond memeory that we have of Kaje is when she would insire Qwest employees to help others, who were less fortunate, during the holiday season. She organized a wonderful opportunity for many of us to contribute to gifts for a homeless family. We are thankful for having known her – she made our lives richer.

I know that Kage has gone to a wonderful place. Kage fought her battle will illness for a very long time, with our Lord and Savior at her side all of the way. She was a very caring & loving person with a big heart of gold. I am currently ill and fighting a battle with cancer and in my hardest times, Kage sent e-mails full of prayers to help me through what were very hard & difficult times. I will miss her immensly. I know that she is still praying from where she is now. May the Lord Bless and keep Kage’s family safe. I believe that Kage knew that “Life begins to end the day we do nothing about things that matter” -Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.- She did her best to follow what was on her heart doing things that were right. This is a rare person to care so much about so many people putting all selfishness aside. God honors this very high standard. God Bless You Richly…And God says ” well done.. Kage will receive her crown….no doubt about it.. Thanks for caring about me…I really needed your support..

When I came back to work after battling breast cancer for almost a year Kaje was one of the first people to give me a hug and encouragement even though at the time I did not publicize my illness. When Kaje came back to work after her medical leave the first thing she said to me was to ask about my health instead of complaining about her own. What impressed me most about Kaje was that she had a genuine and sincere concern for other people and tried to help what she could. I will always remember Kaje’s kindness, not to mention her winning, million dollar smile. Kaje: Out of sheer selfishness, I am sorry you have to leave so soon but I am sure you are at a better place. To Kaje’s family: My condolences and sympathy. I am very sorry for your loss. Judy King

Kaje’s heart has always been in a good place. I have only known her for a short time but she has shown me the true meaning of giving. Kaje has provided a home for those who were in need. During the Christmas Holiday, she would also support charities that provided clothing for families in need. I really will miss you Kaje!!

I also worked with Kaje way back when in ISDN, we became friends. I will miss seeing her every evening she was coming to work and I was leaving. No matter how she was feeling she always had a smile and something positive to say. May God Bless and keep her. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family. She will be missed.
