*Teacher Darcy was my greatest inspiration as a mother and teacher. When ever I had questions or concerns she was always there with a smile on her face and answers to my questions.

My children Eric and Ali were so blessed to have her as a Teacher and I am deeply sadden that my youngest Connor will not have the same opportunity to get to know this wonderful woman.

Our family will always remember Teacher Darcy and her love for children. The children in heaven are now blessed with her presence.

Our thoughts will be with her family as they morn their loss.

God Bless,

Keri, Randy, Eric, Alicia and Connor Reiff

Teacher Darcy had such a way with children! She was one of the most energetic, smart, and capable teachers that my daughter Sage will probably ever have. I am saddened that my younger son Sasha will not be able to experience the same when it is his time for preschool. Our deepest sympathies to Darcy’s family. She was one fabulous lady.

Bob, Bryan, Becky, and Brent — We are not able find the words to convey the sorrow and sympathy we feel for the tragic loss of your wife/mother. Darcy waged the most courageous hard-fought battle against this disease — she did everything she possibly could to beat it. And I know that all of you also did everything possible to help her. You were the most devoted and loving husband and children that anyone could ever wish for. You have so very much to be proud of — your wife/Mom was an incredible person and she will be remembered and missed by so many people. And be proud of yourselves too, for being the loving, caring family that you are. Darcy loved you all so much. Trust that her loving spirit will be close to you always.

hugs and love to you all, Sandi Viscusi and David and Laura

My children and I attend All Saints Church in 1988-2001. Brent and my daughter Emy were the same age and for a couple of years Darcy was their teacher. I remember her doing everything at church from the Christmas Program to the summer programs. She ALWAYS had a smile and a kind word for everyone. She was a one-of-a-kind person who I know will be deeply missed. Please accept my deepest sympathy. Nancy Hammond

Rachel, age 6

Darcy is the most amazing teacher and we are incredibly fortunate that Rachel started her education with her. Thanks to Darcy’s passion, Rachel has enthusiasm and self-confidence in school. Darcy will always be an inspiration in our lives!

I used to go to Sunday School with Brent, and Darcy was our teacher. It was ages ago, but I still remember how much fun we would always have. My thoughts and prayers go out to your family.

My children Keith and Lynn attended the Highline Co-Op PreSchool over 10 years ago. Darcy was a fabulous teacher who cared deeply for the children she taught and was a wonderful person. Myself and my children learned a great deal from this wonderful human being. Even after we had left the Preschool to move on to public education, we would see Darcy at the local grocery store and she would always stop to chat. She was always interested in how the kids were doing. My children will always remember Teacher Darcy and how she made their first school experience a good one.

My deepest sympathy goes out to her family.

Darcy was a fantastic preschool teacher for my daughter, Stephanie who is now 11 years old. She was my child’s introduction to a wonderful and caring learning environment. I will always treasure Darcy’s warmth and passion for helping children. She made a great impact on my child and I will forever be thankful that our paths crossed.

We are saddened to hear that she passed away.
