Obituary
On August 23, 1958, God blessed the union of the late George and Emma Buckley with the birth of another daughter Kate Buckley in Darling, Mississippi. When Kate was six years of age she moved to St. Louis, Missouri where she spent her early years and graduated from Beaumont High School in 1976.
Kate moved to Seattle, WA in 1977 to attend the University of Washington.
Kate began her professional career with the Federal Government in 1979. Her record of service continued for 33 years.
Kate believed in keeping the family together.
She enjoyed reading romantic novels. She also enjoyed playing “Gems” on her tablet.
Kate will be missed greatly due to her thoughtfulness and kind affection toward children and her family. She was also known to others for her friendliness and kindness of spirit.
Kate will be especially missed by her daughter Jacqueline Buckley, her two grandchildren, Royce and Katelyn Miller and of course her bestie, Joice Buckley, “we love you, why did you have to go?”
Kate departed this life October 8, 2016 at Swedish Hospital at the age of 58.
Kate leaves to cherish her memory a loving daughter, Jacqueline Buckley and two grandchildren, Royce and Katelyn Miller. She also leaves behind 7 brothers; Willie Buckley, Jessie Buckley, Jerie Buckley, Carl Buckley, Simon Buckley, Silas Buckley, James Edward Buckley. 5 sisters, Sherrel Buckley, Helen Buckley, Joice Buckley, Bertha McElroy, Sarah Buckley and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
I can only simply say that she was such a great lady. She fought hard and won. Peace and happiness awaits.
