Obituary
Kathy Noon Hansen
Katherine Louise
Our beloved Kathy ‘Mama Hansen’ was lifted up into the arms of Jesus on June 1, 2009, after a recent diagnosis of liver cancer. On December 27, 1949, Kathy was born to Ival and Eleanor Redington Noon and lived her entire life apart from 2 years on Queen Anne Hill in Burien, Washington. Kathy is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Jim ‘Runny Bunny’ and sons, Brian ‘BB’, Mark ‘Boo Boo’ and Kory ‘Yiddum’ and his wife Cassie, and her precious one year old granddaughter, Madeleine Madelynnie. She is also survived by her twin brother Ken Kathy and older brother Tom Linda. Nephews and nieces include: Kyle Noon, Kelsey Noon Dale and husband Ryan serving in Iraq, Kara Noon Fiest and her husband Travis serving in the Army and their son Connor, Kristopher Noon, Jillian Beach, Matthew Beach and his wife Lindsey and their son Brennen.
A graduate of Glacier High School in 1968, Kathy was chosen by People to People to tour in Europe for 3 months. She represented this countries highest level of young graduates to an international audience.
While attending college, Kathy was hired and trained by Dr. Joseph Grillo as a dental assistant. She was later hired by Dr. Robert A. Walker, and continued to work for him during the next 30 years until April of 2009.
Kathy and Jim were married March 14, 1970. Blessed with 3 boys, the family enjoyed many travels. As avid Husky football fans, the family never missed a home game or any Husky Rose bowl. They also traveled to many Pac 10 games. For the last 8 years, the family was able to restore their souls in paradise on the island of Maui…and to think that heaven is even better.
This incredible woman of Christ exhibited His qualities of unconditional love, joy, generosity and kindness to her family, work, church, friends and neighbors. Kathy’s memorial service will be held at the Burien Free Methodist Church at 1pm on June 10th. A memorial has been established in her honor at the:
Burien Free Methodist Church. 520 S. 150th
Burien, WA 98148.

Kathie was a wonderful, caring and beautiful light in our lives and will be sorely missed by all that knew her and is a loss for those who had not yet been blessed with the oppertunity to meet her. Kathy you will be missed by all who’s lives you have touched.
We are so sad to hear of the passing of Kathy. Also Grads of Glacier, we remember her well! What a pretty cheerful blonde and always participating happily in school activities. We send our heartfelt condolences to the family. Mike and Jackie Skolrud
You are in our thoughts and prayers.
I was so sorry to hear of Kathy’s passing.I have known her since we in the 5th grade. I haven’t seen her in
many years but always remember her smile.
always in our thoughts and prayers – both Kathy and Jim and boys..
I am very sorry for your loss.
I had just, at our 40th class reunion, gotten reaquainted with Kathy and her brother Ken. I was looking forward to seeing more of them in our future. Now I will have to wait to see her in heaven.
My prayers are with all who loved her.
Regrets that I won’t be able to attend the service for her.
My deepest sympathy to Jim and his family and to Dr. Walker and his staff. Kathy was so much fun to talk to and to hear about her boys. She was an absolute delight and brightened my visits to the dentist. I will miss her greatly.
To the Hansen and Noon families. I was taken back when I heard about the passing of Kathy. As a young boy and neighbor I always enjoyed being around Kathy and found her to be kind, thoughtful and compassionate. I can see that she went on in life to touch many lives. I am so sorry for your loss and extend many prayers and blessings. By what I read she won’t be forgotten but will be remembered often with love and fondness.
May God Bless you all and take great care of her.
Your neighbor, Mark McGavran
We remember Kathy to be a lovely woman, always with a smile on her face and her husband by her side. It was easy to see they adored each other.
We know she is in heaven with Christ and we take special comfort in the fact that she is visiting with Grace and Harold and the many that have passed before her.
We are so sorry for your loss, there are just no words to ease yur sorrow, but know that you are in our thoughts and prayer.
God Bless you and comfort you and your family, and may one day your memories bring you joy and happiness.

Dear Jim and family…it was such an honor to have Kathy as a friend, she was a precious treasure and her memory will always be that also. We love you all and are holding you in prayer that God’s comfort and peace will flood your hearts in the hardest of times. Hugs, Dave, Dee, and family
She was a wonderful person and we will miss her smile and laugh. We are sorry she left us so soon but God has other plans for her. We miss her and will think of her often.
Dear James, Brian, Mark, and Kory,
What an honor it was for me to have your wife/mother as my best friend. Most marriages don’t last 39 years but our friendship did.
I will miss her calling me Bonner, and just calling me to share her life and to brag about each of you. She does love you all.
I will also miss her laugh, her smell, her different hair colors, and watching our grandbabies grow through the years.
Her prayer was for all of you to have a strong relationshp with Jesus. To demonstrate His attributes of love, joy, peace, kindness, gentleness, patience and self-control. To rely on Jesus in good times and those that are hard. She was a great example of all the above. Live it!
As I said,’I will miss her” but she lives in my memory and heart until that day we are reunited in Heaven.
Love you all, Bonner
I’ve been a patient of Dr. Walker’s for many years. Catching up with Kathy was one of the highlights of each of my visits – hearing about her family, their travels, and later offering support and encouragement in her fight against breast cancer.
She was the consummate employee – upbeat, positive, professional and genuinely interested in people.
She loved her family, her home on the beach, and her workplace – a wonderful person who will be missed by hundreds of us whose lives she touched. My sympathy to “both” of her families.
Jim, my sincere condolences, another Angel will fill the Heaven above. Although I have only known Kathy and you for breif moments this past 15 years, her smile and warmth will be a memory forever. Their are thousands who pass us all everday, but none with a bigger and more beautiful smile than your loving wife. May peace be with you and your family, she will certainly be missed by us all.
Brian Gooch, Captain Husky Football Staff
We loved Kathy and we love Jim and the boys and are so thrilled that Kathy is where we believe we will ALL be eventually…for eternity …with her Lord and ours, Jesus, The Christ. One year ago we shared rich, Christian fellowship with Kathy and Jim at the home of our mutual friends, the Olivieras. WHAT A DAY IT WILL BE, WHEN OUR JESUS WE SHALL SEE, WHEN HE TAKES US BY THE HAND AND LEADS US TO THE PROMISED LAND! What a Day, Glorious DAY, that will be! Meanwhile we are praying for all who grieve, entrusting each one to The One who is a Man of Sorrows and acquainted with grief.
We are sorry we won’t be able to make the service, on Wed. due to graduation events. So Sorry for your loss. You are in our prayers.
May God comfort you during this time.
love,
Phil & Mel
Jim, Brian, Mark, Kory, Cassi and “sweet” Madeleine…..love you sooooo much and praying for God’s comfort and peace.
