Obituary
Kathy Elaine Arne
7/13/1950-10/16/2008
Kathy worked for the JC Penney Company in the Seattle area for 28 years. In her spare time, Kathy loved to go skiing, camping, fishing and hiking.
She was an avid collector. Kathy was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease about 10 years ago, but you would never hear her complain about it.
Kathy is survived by her husband of 35 years, Larry, her son Michael, two stepsons, Christopher and Jeffrey and her brother Jack Menashe.
Good morning, I just found this site and think it is beautiful… I will truly miss Kathy. She was so knowledable about so many things mainly due to her wonderful collection. I will never forget seeing her McDonald’s “room” for the first time! She had a true love of life and I will miss her caring attitude. I am also so sad our children will not be able to learn from her, I know they would have had so much fun together. Kathy will be missed….
Dear Larry and Michael,
How sorry I am to hear of Kathy’s death. She was a good wife and mother. I am sorry that I did not visit her more often during her several years when she was confined at home. When I did visit her, I would leave thinking to myself “I will visit Kathy more often and not let so much time lapse in between visits.” I am sad that I visted her only a few times. May the memories of years gone by help you. She truly was a devoted and loving mother to you, Michael, and a good wife to you, Larry.
Your Kathy suffered a lot during her years that she struggled with her Parkinson’s. She is free of all of that now.
Her niece, Joanna Menashe, commented that her Auntie Kathy always asked for me and inquired about my well-being.
Please accept my heartfelt condolences at this time of your loss.
With love,
Rita Michelotti
Larry and Michael, I am so sorry about your loss as I know how deeply you both loved her. Kathy was such a joy to be around, we always had a good laugh even when I came over to help her. Kathy was well loved by everyone on her street. She was my daughters best friend and 2nd mom for many years. She always enjoyed it when we started a home project, she would be the first to arrive and give a helping hand, and always had a biscuit for our dog Milo. I and my whole family will miss her forever but I know she is at peace now. I will always love her.
