Obituary

Kathy Marie Hell departed her life the morning of Friday, November 17th, 2017 surrounded by family, following a courageous battle with lung cancer at the young age of 62.

She was preceded in death by her Mother Lillian Bourbanis; Father Jerome Bourbanis; Brother Glenn Bourbanis (infant); Sister Lila Cook; Sister Gloria Rostvet.

Kathy Marie Hell was born September 18th, 1955, in Walhalla, ND, the daughter of Jerome Bourbanis and Lillian (Gustafson) Bourbanis. Kathy was baptized and confirmed at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Walhalla, ND and graduated from Walhalla High School in 1973.

On April 13th, 1973 Kathy was united in marriage to Duane Lloyd Hell, her high school sweetheart and love of her life. They then moved to Seattle in 1976 where they started their Construction Company and later opened Paradise Cove Resort in Minaki, Ontario. She enjoyed her dogs, shopping, fishing, bingo, sewing, cross-stitching, vacationing and spending time with her family and friends. She was an amazing mother to her three children and grandmother to her ten grandchildren. She selflessly raised two of her grandchildren as if they were her own.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband Duane Hell; Daughter Carlo (James) Parke; Son Corey Hell; Daughter Mindy Hell. Her siblings Joanne (Duane) McDonald; Lloyd (Karen) Bourbanis; Shirley (Kenny) Gudmundson; Gary (Linda) Bourbanis; Gerald (Faye) Bourbanis; Ruth (Les) Laidlaw; Barbara (Jeff) Dalzell; Glenn Bourbanis; and Brother in law Gary Cook. Her grandchildren Chelsea, Cassidy, Devin, Justine, Cody, Maci, Gavin, Jazmin, Kaden, and James, as well as her two great-grandchildren Kellan and Brooklynn.

A service to celebrate Kathy Marie Hell’s life will be held on Friday, December 8th, at 11:00 am at Bonney Watson; 16445 International Blvd SeaTac, WA, 98188.
