Kathy Witzel Fleischman was born June 17, 1947 in Seattle, WA and passed away March 24, 2021 in Federal Way, WA at the age of 73.
A funeral service for Kathy will be held Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at 1:00pm at Bonney Watson Washington Memorial Chapel, 16445 International Blvd, SeaTac, WA 98188 followed by a graveside service in Washington Memorial Park.

Kathy and I became close friends in High School. I’ll never forget her great sense of humor and infectious laugh.
Dearest Kath,
So hard to say goodbye, but I am so grateful we continued to connect for nearly the past 60 years. (!) Always looked forward to those annual birthday gatherings we started about 10+ years ago…you, me and Jude, just hanging out and being silly. Then came Covid, which got in the way for last year’s birthdays…but we were looking forward to maybe a meet up later this year. So close….
You were always so classy…looking like you just stepped out of a salon….perfect hair, nails and a beautiful wardrobe. And, that made you the unlikeliest Seahawk fan, I knew! You were a pro knowing every player, all the plays, who they should have hired and who should be get let go…you were such a classy 12th ‘woman’!! Surprisingly tough, except when it came to your pups, then you were a true tenderheart! Tater and Emily had it made! And more than once, you used your birthday celebration to raise funds for local dog shelters.
Oh, I remember how excited you were to become a great grandma!! Loved those pictures you sent of little Jaiden…and he grew so quickly. You told me how cute and smart he was and admitted he had you wrapped around his little finger!!
Thank you for being such a steadfast friend and confidant all these years. I have years’ and years’ worth of emails and text messages (complete with pictures of our grandkids!) that make me smile every time I scroll through them. And, the very last one I got from you just said ‘Hugs’ with a big red heart. So, I say ‘Hugs’ to you, my dear friend, Kathy. You will be sorely missed!!
