Kenneth Verdell DAVIS
84, Passed away July 24, 2009 after a courageous battle with cancer. Survived by his wife of 51 years Mary Davis; Father of Donna Mehl and her husband Terry, K.C. Davis, Greg Davis, David Davis; step father of Colleen Rollins, Mike Krause and his wife Linda, Pat Krause and his wife Marilyn, Linda Stauffer; grandfather of 19; great-grandfather of 26. Veteran of WW II, U.S. Army. Worked for Murphy Brothers Construction until he was injured and was unable to work in construction. He then went on to work for Trusspan in Redmond until he retired in 1989. Ken and Mary moved to Wallowa, Oregon, and settled on a cattle ranch. There he was a member of the Eagles, Odd Fellows and American Legion. Ken enjoyed the country life. He loved fishing, hunting and horseback riding. Most of all he loved his family. He will be dearly missed, forever… Private family burial was held Wednesday. July 29, 2009 at Bonney Watson – Washington Memorial Park, SeaTac, WA.
Kenneth was a very kind man. I always enjoyed visiting with him and will miss our telephone conversations. He would tell some great stories of growing up in North Powder. I know that he will be missed by his family as well as friends. I am very sorry to hear about your loss and my thoughts are with the surviving family members.
