Obituary
Kyong Ho Chung, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2025. She was born in South Korea where at a young age, she faced the perils of war. She was the devoted wife of the late Tae Soo Chung, and together, they had five loving children. After immigrating to the United States, Kyong Ho led a life of strength, grace, and dedication to her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and the church.
She is survived by her children, Hwa Sun, Teresa, Boo Sun, InSun, and Bum Sun. Her legacy lives on through her grandchildren, Andrew Lee, Chong Ryul, Cecily, Ellen, James, Jessica, Erica, Lorie, Karen, Andrew Chung, Julie, Erika, and Erin. She was a loving great-grandmother to Rebecca, Jaden, Ava, Isaac, Cole, and Levi.
She will be remembered for her nurturing spirit, strong faith, and quiet, charming, and playful sense of humor. She loved coffee Frappuccinos, squid nigiri, and cheering on the fierce, decades-long competition for the coveted title of Favorite Grandchild. While her presence is deeply missed, the values she taught and the memories she made with all who knew her will never be forgotten.
Funeral services are provided by Bonney Watson in Federal Way. Funeral mass will take place at St. Paul Chong Hasang Catholic Church in Fife on June 6, 2025, followed by graveside service.

정 경호 여사는 2025년 5월 30일 평안히 하느님의 품에 안기셨습니다. 그녀는 대한민국에서 태어나 어린 시절 전쟁이라는 시련을 겪으며 강인한 삶을 살아냈고, 이는 그녀의 생애 전반에 걸친 정신이 되었습니다. 고(故) 정태수 님의 사랑하는 아내로서, 두 분은 다섯 자녀를 정성스럽게 키워내셨습니다.
이민 후 미국에서의 삶은 인내와 은혜, 가족과 신앙에 대한 헌신으로 가득했습니다. 정여사는 여동생 경애, 자녀인 화선, 혜선, 부선, 인선, 범선을 비롯하여, 손자손녀 종성, 종률, 은정, 현정, 건호, 지인, 지선, 지원, 규원, 진영, 선아, 채원, 려원을 남기셨으며, 증손주 하은, 제이든, 에바, 아이작, 콜, 리바이에게도 큰 사랑을 주셨습니다.
정 경호 여사는 자애로운 성품, 깊은 신앙심, 그리고 조용하지만 유쾌한 유머 감각으로 기억될 것입니다. 그녀는 스타벅스 프라푸치노와 오징어 스시를 즐기셨고, 손자들간에 오랜 시간 이어진 ‘가장 사랑받는 손주’ 타이틀 경쟁을 응원하며 즐거워하셨습니다.
비록 그녀의 육신은 우리 곁을 떠났지만, 그녀가 가르쳐준 삶의 가치와 소중한 추억은 우리 마음속에 영원히 남아 있을 것입니다.
