Patti, Craig, Staci,
Where do I start? I am so deeply saddened by hearing the news of Larry’s death. You are all a second family to me, and always have been. I am flooded with memories, even as I sit at work. I remember the day you all moved in to the house on 206th St., going to the cabin at the lake, picking at the fish he would catch, him putting up with Staci and I and our obsession with Duran Duran in the 80’s, the concrete pond, as he so lovingly called the pool at the condos in Mesa. There will always be a piece of my heart with him, he will be greatly missed. If there is ANYTHING I can do, please let me know. I am only a phone call or email away. I will keep a piece of him with me as I take care of my patients day to day.
Love you all,
Jeanne
All of LP’s racquetball pals are going to miss him. He was a fun guy. Whenever someone hit LP with the ball, he would scream, lean against the wall and slowly slide to the floor. Then he would get a big smile on his face, jump up and he was ready to go.
I will also miss the fish stories we told each other. I bet he’s got a fish on right now.
Jay “The Mallet” as nick named by LP
Aunt Pattie, Craig & Stacie, I’m sorry to hear about Uncle Larry’s passing. In my mind’s eye he’s still young. I remember when he owned a convertable. MG I think He took Laura & I for a ride. One at a time of coarse. He was always fun to be with. I always enjoyed seeing you. I hope the memories you have will help you through this hard time. My prayers are with you. Love Tawny P.S.I sent an e-card to his e-mail.
Patti, Staci and Craig: We were saddened to see in the paper Larry’s passing. We will never forget that he always had a smile on his face. I think the thing we will always remember is when he and Jim would be sitting in his boat in your driveway drinking beer and just having the time of their life. You could just picture that the boat was in the water and they both had their lines out and were waiting for that one big catch. They always waved to everyone going up or down the hill including the Des Moines Police they never excluded anyone. He can now fish with Jim again and I’ll bet that Jim has found the perfect lake and now Larry will be there at that perfect lake also.
Craig
